~Poetry Commission for TheFinalHikari~
Valkyrja
The valkyrie –
the goddess who chooses the souls of fallen warriors
worthy to fight alongside Odin in Ragnarok, the final battle
to decide the fate of the world –
descends from the heavens into the world of the mortals,
in search of brave soldiers to enlist in the divine battalion.
The battlefield below is strewn with soldiers defeated in combat.
Most have already perished, being deemed unworthy and having descended
to Nifleheim, the realm of punishment for the wretched.
One valiant fighter, however, is still alive, but on the brink of death.
Laying on the ground mortally wounded, he stares at the sky,
as rays of ethereal light pierce through the dark clouds.
The goddess flies to the dying warrior.
Simply by looking at him, she can see that
beneath this young man's frail exterior
lies the soul of a true warrior.
She reaches out her hand to the soldier.
"You have fought well, o noble one.
The great Odin has deemed you worthy of fighting
alongside him in a great battle.
Will you join us?"
The warrior accepts the maiden's invitation,
and he ascends into Valhalla with the valkyrie,
where he will fight a glorious battle in the
name of the gods.

A Thousand Loves
Can you keep up with me?
A life full of love stories
Kissing strangers in the rain,
riding on the backs of scooters with boys,
and getting sucked in to a hypnotic spell,
discovering the woman inside me.
A lost little girl has been found.
You can see her in my eyes
as I make love to a hobo on the side of a hill,
chasing dirty little secrets and letting
the forbidden touch me intimately.
Someone slap some sense into me
as I, overcome with giggle fits-
Is it really possible to live a life with a thousand loves?
Maybe I've stopped counting.
All that matters is that I love this moment-
right now- and love the person I am loo
Literature
Life, Love, Memories, and Roses
Memories,
These are the things that make life beautiful.
Whether your purpose is to find love or to fulfill a purpose of unknown understanding.
Remember that life is not about money, power, or what is at the end of the journey.
It's about how you got there along with the memories to go with it.
So cherish those moments of love, sadness, anger, and everything in between.
Because this makes you who you are.
Those moments of love and passion are nothing like any other memory you have.
So keep them close and burning in your heart.
Because in life, love is one thing, you'll experience and never want to let go.
So remember to cherish the

Sink or swim
He stood on the dock
One foot reluctantly planted
The other standing at the ready
Like that fleeting moment
Suspended in mid-air
Gleefully anticipating the water on your skin
Yet apprehensive of those undiscovered depths
Which have yet to be kissed by sunlight
She dove in head-fist
Through the reeds and the icy darkness
And watched from below
As the light fragmented
Along the rippled surface
How stunning it was
Even in the deepest and feared unknown
Especially there.
In the light and in the dark
There was only him
He watched as she held her breath
Shackled by his own mind
Wanting for that planted foot
To be freed from its hesitations

Another poetry commission (and a bit overdue too ) for ! This is one of two poems commissioned by her that are valkyrie-themed. This one focuses on the role of the valkyrie as the chooser of the slain. I actually played Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, so that kinda helped too x3

Thank you very much, Rie-hime! And don't worry about the delay! I really like the flow and descriptions in this one. The quote was a lovely touch, too!
